Daniel C Bruch: Born and raised in a parsonage in Iowa before World War II, he has been married to Elizabeth (Ph.D.) for 46 years and together they have four grown daughters and seven grandchildren. He has earned six degrees (including the D.Min., Ph.D, and Sc.D.); served as a college, university, and seminary professor; been a parish pastor and university chaplain; volunteered as a certified emergency room and police chaplain; and is a certified mediator and arbitrator. He became a liberal by conviction, not by birth. He has taught in Romania, Serbia, Hungary, and Indonesia, living in the latter two on several occasions for extended times. He is solely responsible for the content of the education page and the blog.
Sarah A. Bruch: Born in Wisconsin in the year that the Beatles disbanded, the United States invaded Cambodia, and four students were killed at Kent State, Sarah's formative years were lived in North Carolina with three sisters (now a psychology professor, a law and sociology professor, and a social worker). Sarah's university degree is in communication and marketing and she has worked in retail, banking, senior housing, and corporate human resources where she was an H.R. Director. She was born a liberal, raised a liberal, and remains a liberal. She was often surprised but always delighted to find herself the mother of four remarkable sons. Her husband is a teacher in the Hudson, Wisconsin School District and has been a state champion high school hockey coach. Sarah is currently running as a Democrat for the 30th District of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
